Lactuca Tincture

Description

This is lactusa virosa in 80 proof vodka. It is a traditionally used plant here in Appalachia but it is used all over the world for pain. It is also called Op iu m lettuce. This is dual extracted but I also, packed it full, let it sit for two weeks, strained leaves out, then added more. I also used the stems which contain the highest amount of “milk” that has the actives in it to make a more powerful brew. I harvest this every year in July right after it goes to seed and before it begins to die and right before the full moon in July. It steeped for 8 weeks. I had labels made this year! I have 32 of the small (20ml) bottles and 9 of the larger (30ml) bottles. Just use a dropper in a hot beverage so the alcohol can evaporate off. The bottles are amber so it has a shelf life of at least 2 years. This is also part of my flu kit which also contains my mullein from my plant for decongesting and opening up your lungs, and Sweet Gum tincture which is nature’s Tamiflu which can end a flu in 3 or 4 days and have you back on your feet. This tincuture helps with the pain from aches and fever and also head pain. But it is good for any pain not when you’re sick also.
